Cyber Heist
A persistent idle-heist game on Bitcoin L1. Send your cyberpunk cat operative on missions, earn CHIP tokens, and build the most powerful crew on-chain.
01 What Is Cyber Heist?
Cyber Heist is a persistent idle-heist game running entirely on Bitcoin. You own a cyberpunk cat operative NFT, stake it into missions, and earn CHIP tokens while you're away. The strategy comes from choosing your risk level, managing your gear, and deciding when to upgrade your stats.
Everything runs on real Bitcoin — every mission result, every token mint, every level-up — provably on-chain. No sidechain, no bridge, no trust-me-bro.
The Big Idea
Most blockchain games died because they were built on a single token. If the token dumps, the game collapses. Cyber Heist has two independent economies: CHIP (the in-game token you earn by playing) and sats (the services economy paid in real Bitcoin). If CHIP crashes, the sats revenue continues. If sats rise with BTC price, so do game earnings.
| Aspect | Token-Only Games | Cyber Heist |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue source | Token sales only | Sats-denominated services + token |
| Entry barrier | Must buy token | Free (first mission requires 0 CHIP) |
| If token crashes | Game collapses | Sats revenue unchanged; level-ups get cheaper → more burns |
| Inflation control | Scheduled halvings (predictable, gamed) | Six live burn sinks driven by player progression |
02 Core Game Loop
The entire game is one repeating loop. A typical daily session takes 2–5 minutes — exfiltrate, pick up rewards, re-infiltrate, done. CHIP earns while you're away.
Player States
| State | What's happening | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| 🏠 Idle | No operative staked | Stake your operative NFT |
| ✅ Banked | Operative ready and waiting | Infiltrate a mission, level up, equip gear, use items |
| 🔒 Infiltrated | In mission — earning CHIP every Bitcoin block | Wait, early exit (with 50% slash), buy insurance |
| ⏳ Fatigued | Post-mission cooldown | Wait it out, or use a Stimpack to skip instantly |
Heist Power — How Your Earnings Scale
Your share of the global CHIP emission depends on your Heist Power relative to all other active players. More power = more CHIP per block.
| Factor | How it contributes |
|---|---|
| Operative Rarity | 1× (Common) up to 3× (Legendary) |
| Mission choice | Higher-risk missions have higher reward multipliers |
| cpMOTO staking | Stake LP tokens alongside your operative for a boost (diminishing returns prevents whale dominance) |
| Hacking stat | +0.2% per level |
| Equipment | Bonuses from equipped gear |
Early Exit
If you leave a mission before the lock duration expires, you take a 50% slash on your pending CHIP (that CHIP is burned forever). Choose your missions wisely.
Fatigue Cooldown
After exfiltrating, your operative enters fatigue for a number of blocks proportional to how long the mission lasted. Your Muscle stat reduces this by one block per level. A Stimpack skips it entirely.
03 The 5 Factions
Every operative belongs to one of five factions. Faction is a visual trait — it affects your operative's appearance but not their base stats (those come from rarity and your leveling choices).
Street Cat
Underground anarchist hackers. Hoodies, spray-paint patches, neon green goggles. Built on the streets, wired from the gutter.
Corp Cat
Ex-corporate double agents. Sharp suits, chrome shoulder pads, glowing circuit lapels. Cold, calculated, always three moves ahead.
Syndicate Cat
Organized crime cyber division. Crimson armor with gold trim, battle scars, heavy build. Powerful, loyal, and very dangerous.
Ghost Cat
Off-grid phantom operatives. Stealth suit with holographic shimmer, partial invisibility, glowing cyan eyes. Silent, precise, untraceable.
Black Market Cat
Dark web merchants and fixers. Purple robes, circuit tattoos, half-mask, amber eyes. Shadowy, well-connected, always has what you need.
All 5 Visual Trait Dimensions
Every operative is unique. 5 factions × 8 augments × 5 backgrounds × 5 skins × 5 rarity tiers = 5,000 unique combinations. Traits are generated on-chain using a cryptographic hash of the Bitcoin block and your token ID — fully verifiable and tamper-proof.
| Trait | Options | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Faction | 5 | Street Cat, Corp Cat, Syndicate, Ghost, Black Market |
| Augment | 8 | Neural Implant, Cybernetic Eye, Bionic Arm, Spine Rig, Holo Mask, EMP Gauntlet, Data Jack, Optical Visor |
| Background | 5 | Neon Alley, Server Farm, Rooftop, Underground, Sky Bridge |
| Skin | 5 | Default, Chrome, Stealth, Neon, Void |
| Rarity | 5 | Common → Legendary |
04 Rarity & Bonuses
Important: Rarity gives progression speed bonuses, not earnings multipliers. A Common and Legendary earn the same CHIP per block for the same Heist Power. Rarity makes you level up faster, recover from missions sooner, and find better loot. This keeps the game fair on secondary markets.
05 Your Three Stats
Each operative has three stats that you level up over time by spending CHIP. You choose which stats to prioritize — there is no wrong answer, but each unlocks a different playstyle.
Hacking
+0.2% CHIP earning rate per level. More Hacking = more tokens per block every run.
Muscle
−1 fatigue block per level. More Muscle = less downtime between missions = more runs per week.
Stealth
−0.5% mission risk per level + +0.2% loot drop rate. More Stealth = safer missions with better loot.
Prestige (Coming Later)
Once you max all three stats, you can prestige — resetting your stats in exchange for a permanent +5% earning multiplier per prestige. The contract is built and deployed; the feature just needs to be unlocked.
06 Leveling Up
Level-up costs follow a simple formula: the new level squared, multiplied by 25 CHIP. 100% of the CHIP is burned permanently — it's gone from the supply forever. The higher you go, the more deflationary pressure you create.
Costs shown per stat level in CHIP. All burned permanently.
Upgrade Chip item: Occasionally drops from missions. Apply it before leveling up for a 20% discount on that level's cost.
07 Missions & Episodes
Missions are the core of the game. They're grouped into Episodes, each with a cyberpunk theme and increasing difficulty. All past episodes stay accessible — you can always grind earlier missions for guaranteed income.
Mission Parameters
| Parameter | What it means |
|---|---|
| Required Hacking | Minimum Hacking stat your operative needs to enter |
| Lock Duration | How many Bitcoin blocks you're committed (~10 min/block) |
| Reward Multiplier | Scales your CHIP earnings — higher risk missions pay more |
| Repeat Multiplier | After your first clear, repeat runs earn less (default ~50%) |
| Risk | % chance of losing 20% of your pending CHIP when exfiltrating |
| Loot Table | Which items can drop when you successfully exfiltrate |
| Entry Fee | CHIP cost to enter (if any) — burned |
First Clear vs. Repeat Runs
Your first time clearing a mission earns at the full reward multiplier. Every repeat run earns at the reduced rate (around 50%). New episodes bring new first-clears with full earnings — this is how content progression rewards exploration without locking you out of anything.

Episode Roadmap
| Episode | Theme | Hacking Required | Risk Range | Entry Fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ep. 1 Street Level | Underground networks | 0–4 | 0–5% | Free |
| Ep. 2 Corporate Breach | Megacorp infiltration | 5–9 | 5–20% | 50–200 CHIP |
| Ep. 3 Deep Net | Beyond the firewall | 10+ | 10–40% | 500+ CHIP |
New episodes drop every ~8 weeks alongside Battle Pass season launches. Each one has 5–7 missions worth of fresh first-clear earnings.
08 Risk & Insurance
Higher-risk missions pay more, but when you exfiltrate you roll a dice. If it lands against you, 20% of your pending CHIP gets slashed and burned. The odds are on-chain — verifiable by anyone, never secretly adjusted.
Risk Tiers
| Tier | Slash Chance | Slash Amount | Intent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Safe | 0% | — | Tutorial / Safehouse |
| Moderate | 5% | 20% of pending | Risk introduction |
| Dangerous | 10% | 20% of pending | Standard risk/reward |
| High-Risk | 20% | 20% of pending | Experienced players |
| Extreme | 40% | 20% of pending | Maximum reward seekers |
Your Stealth stat reduces your effective risk level. High Stealth players can tackle dangerous missions with meaningful risk reduction.
Your Three Protection Options
| Option | Effect | Cost | How to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🔵 Risk Reducer | Halves your effective risk for one run | 500 CHIP to craft, or from loot / MintShop | Mission loot, crafting, Battle Pass rewards |
| 🛡 Insurance | Eliminates risk entirely for one run | 5,000 sats (~$5 at $100K BTC) | Buy directly on the game page before infiltrating |
| ⚡ Stack both | Risk Reducer first, then Insurance for extreme missions | Costs both | Best for high-value runs on Extreme missions |
Why Insurance feels fair: You chose the risk level. The odds are public. Insurance is priced at a flat rate — it doesn't change based on how much you've spent or how close you are to a payout. It's an honest actuarial bet. Compare this to mobile games that secretly increase difficulty to force purchases — that is not what happens here.
09 Items & Consumables
Items drop from missions and can be purchased from the MintShop. They give you single-use boosts to help manage the game more effectively.
Stimpack
Instantly clears your fatigue cooldown. Skip the wait and run again immediately.
Upgrade Chip
Apply before leveling up for a 20% discount on the CHIP cost.
Overclock
Temporary +2% stat boost for 5 Bitcoin blocks.
Risk Reducer
Halves your effective mission risk for one infiltration cycle.
Blueprints
4 types (Neural Visor, Quantum Deck, Lead-Lined Fur, Solder-Iron Tail). Needed to craft equipment at the Chop Shop.
Loot Drop Rates by Mission Risk
| Item | Safe (Ep.1) | Moderate | Dangerous | High-Risk | Extreme |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stimpack | 20% | 25% | 30% | 35% | 40% |
| Upgrade Chip | 15% | 20% | 25% | 25% | 30% |
| Overclock | 10% | 15% | 20% | 25% | 25% |
| Blueprint | — | 10% | 15% | 20% | 25% |
| Risk Reducer | — | 5% | 10% | 15% | 20% |
| Nothing | 55% | 25% | 0% | 0% | 0% |
Stealth stat adds +0.2% to all drop rates per level. Equipment bonuses can push this further.
10 Equipment & Crafting
Operatives have four equipment slots. Each slot holds a craftable item that lasts for a set number of Bitcoin blocks before breaking. Equip gear before infiltrating to gain bonuses throughout the mission.
Four Equipment Slots
| Slot | Item | Lasts | Bonuses |
|---|---|---|---|
| 👁 Eyes | Neural Visor | ~14 days | Hacking, Loot luck, BP XP |
| ⚔ Weapon | Quantum Deck | ~28 days | Hacking, earning rate |
| 🧥 Body | Lead-Lined Fur | ~10 days | Muscle, Stealth, lock reduction |
| 🐾 Tail | Solder-Iron Tail | ~7 days | Stealth, Muscle |
Crafting at the Chop Shop
- Find a Blueprint item via mission loot drops
- Head to the Chop Shop
- Pay the CHIP crafting cost — 90% is burned, 10% goes to treasury
- Receive your equipment NFT (OP-721 standard)
- Equip it on your operative before your next infiltration
Equipment expires. Each piece tracks its remaining blocks. When it expires it's automatically unequipped — you'll need to craft or find another. Higher tiers last longer and have better stats.
Equipment sets are coming in a future phase — equipping a themed full set will grant a bonus beyond the individual item stats.
11 Battle Pass
Each season lasts ~30 days. Complete challenges and earn XP to unlock tiers of rewards. The free track gives CHIP and consumables to everyone. The premium track unlocks equipment, exclusive cosmetics, and better rewards.
Two Tracks
| Track | Cost | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| 🆓 Free Track | Zero — available to all | CHIP, consumables, basic cosmetics |
| ⭐ Premium Track | Sats (season-specific, ~$10–20) | Equipment, exclusive cosmetics, significantly better rewards |
How You Earn XP
| XP Type | Source |
|---|---|
| Base XP | Earned passively every block while your operative is infiltrated |
| Challenge XP | Completing specific objectives on the challenge board |
| Global XP | Lifetime challenge XP that accumulates across all seasons — never resets |

Perfection Challenges
Track a counter that must not increase. Example: "Don't fail any missions this season."
Retroactive Premium
Forgot to buy premium? You can purchase it after the season ends and it retroactively unlocks all tiers you already reached. You never lose earned progress.
Global XP Milestones
| Lifetime XP | Badge | Profile Frame |
|---|---|---|
| 10,000 XP | Veteran | Bronze border |
| 100,000 XP | Elite | Silver border |
| 1,000,000 XP | Legend | Gold border with glow |
Subscribers are automatically enrolled on the premium track when they activate a new season — no separate purchase needed.
12 Subscription
A monthly subscription paid in sats (Bitcoin). It's aimed at serious players who want a persistent edge and the easiest game experience. It is not required for any core content — all missions, episodes, and crafting are free-to-play.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | 50,000 sats/month (~$50 at $100K BTC) |
| Duration | ~30 days (one block epoch) |
| Stackable? | Yes — renewing while active extends your expiry |
What You Get
| Benefit | Details |
|---|---|
| ⚡ +10% CHIP earnings | Applied automatically at exfiltrate — calculated on-chain, not on trust |
| 🌟 Auto BP Premium | Every Battle Pass season auto-enrolls you at premium — no separate purchase |
| ⚡ Subscriber badge | Shown on leaderboard, crew roster, and your profile |
| 🔒 Crew war slot | Guaranteed reserved slot in weekly crew wars (Phase 4) |
| 🚀 Priority sponsor queue | Processed first in batch exfiltrate runs |
Non-custodial. Subscription payments go directly from your wallet to the treasury as a Bitcoin output in your transaction. The smart contract verifies it happened — it never holds your BTC. Same privacy and sovereignty as any on-chain Bitcoin transaction.
13 Crew System
Form a crew with up to 10 players. Crews compete on a weekly leaderboard based on how much CHIP members earned that week. The social pressure of crew competition is one of the strongest retention mechanics in gaming — data from games like Clash of Clans shows guild members play 3× longer than solo players.
Crew Basics
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Max members | 10 wallets |
| Formation | Any player can create (free) |
| Join mode | Open or invite-only (owner's choice) |
| Weekly reset | Every ~7 days |
| Trophy rewards | Top 3 crews each week earn a trophy badge |
How Weekly Scores Work
- At the start of each week, a snapshot of each member's lifetime CHIP earned is taken
- At the end of the week, the delta (new total − old total) is calculated for each member
- All member deltas are summed = crew weekly score
- Top 3 crews are awarded a trophy badge on the leaderboard
Subscribers earn +10% CHIP which flows naturally into crew score — no special treatment required. It's an emergent advantage, not a hard rule.
Coming later: Crew wars contract, crew treasury (a shared CHIP pool), and Discord webhook integration. The game contract is already built to authorize a future crew wars contract with a single admin transaction — no redeployment needed.
14 Profile & Status
Your profile is your identity in the game. Earn badges from gameplay milestones, unlock cosmetic frames, and display your achievements on the leaderboard.
Profile Frames
| Frame | How to get it |

15 CHIP Token Economy
CHIP is the in-game token you earn by playing missions. It has a hard cap of 100 million tokens — no more will ever exist. Six independent burn sinks ensure that player progression continuously removes CHIP from circulation.
Supply Breakdown
| Allocation | Amount | % | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Game Emissions | 70,000,000 CHIP | 70% | Earned by playing missions |
| Farm Emissions | 27,000,000 CHIP | 27% | LP staking rewards |
| Premint | 3,000,000 CHIP | 3% | Liquidity pool + operations |
How CHIP is Emitted
The game emits 100 CHIP per block at 200 active players, scaling with a square root formula up to a hard cap of 1,000 CHIP/block. This means emission grows with the player base but can't spiral out of control. The farm emits a flat 10 CHIP/block separately.
Six Deflationary Burn Sinks
Self-regulating economy: If CHIP price falls, level-up costs become cheaper in USD terms, which incentivizes more leveling (more burns), not less. This is the opposite of games where a falling token price causes everyone to stop playing.
Claim Fee Distribution
When you exfiltrate and collect CHIP, a 3% fee is taken:
| Recipient | Share |
|---|---|
| Treasury | 80% of the 3% fee |
| Burned | 10% of the 3% fee (deflationary) |
| Dev wallet | 10% of the 3% fee |
16 Staking & Farm
LP Farm
Separate from the main game. Stake cpMOTO/CHIP LP tokens to earn a flat 10 CHIP/block. No missions, no risk — pure yield farming. Deposit and withdraw anytime. Emergency withdrawal always available.
cpMOTO Staking in Game
You can also stake cpMOTO LP tokens alongside your operative NFT to boost your Heist Power. The boost uses a bonding curve with diminishing returns, so a player with 10× more LP tokens gets less than 2× the bonus. This prevents whale dominance.
CHIP Token Staking
Stake CHIP tokens for additional game boosts. The contract is deployed and admin-configurable — parameters will be tuned as the player base grows.
